We have worked out how to do this and how to make this profitable. Now we need you to identify and amplify what has been working so far. It involves building the systems and content that ensure we understand and delight our customers while catapulting our vision internationally to new groups.

You will be working with new and existing customers across all corners of the health innovation ecosystem including Pharma and Medtech companies, innovation networks and Government agencies. These groups all have interests in any areas of health you care to name, so you get to work in and learn about a great variety of topics. We help vaccine start-ups track competitors, home care non-profits better cooperate, Governments understand their impact and large medical companies prepare the ground for novel technologies. This means you need to be quick on your feet, a great communicator and an even better listener.

 

Role details

This is a role combining aspects of customer success and growth. You will be responsible for building a capability for this under the CEO with direct access to technical and delivery teams. It involves:

  • Initially supporting customers and amplifying the founder's sales activities, then performing these functions yourself. On this foundation you'll be building and scaling the systems to potentially lead the customer success/growth function of the business.
  • Developing messaging, write copy, design email marketing and automations to existing and paying users including feature announcements, onboarding journeys, landing pages etc
  • Speaking directly to existing or potential customers. This includes customer check-ins and sales calls. You'll be designing demos, custom subscriptions and aspects of new products to satisfy these groups.
  • Building and documenting systems and automations to keep track of all current and trial customers, their needs, their sentiment and identifying other places we can help.

 

Remuneration and arrangement

  • Work your own way and manage your own time. We focus on outcomes, not output and we work asynchronously as part of a very small team. Health Horizon is a distributed company, you can be anywhere in the world. Though people in Australia have an advantage.
  • We function very much as a start-up. You get the autonomy to build the systems and role you've always wanted but the flipside of this is the stress of frequently shifting requirements and deadlines with work often being required at unexpected hours.
  • We are open to providing commissions on sales you are involved in or close.
  • This will begin as a part-time three-week trial paid at your hourly rate. If successful we will extend this into a part-time contract. The role could increase to full time if the company grows.

 

Requirements and Experience

  • You need to be an excellent listener to precisely draw out customer challenges and pain points. You'll need to bring this all together to design custom products and subscriptions in any sector for any kind of organisation. This knowledge also needs to be integrated into the messaging and UX to better communicate our potential.
  • Customers come to us with a variety of challenges in any area of health. You don't need to know every area of health, but you need to be able to understand their needs, quickly adapt to research new areas and design solutions to help them.
  • You must be willing to utilise complex software to manage relationships and company knowledge (Roam Research) so experience using CRM and customer messaging software (Intercom) is valuable. But again if you're unfamiliar but keen and fast to learn that's almost better.
  • Experience in messaging and growth roles at a SAAS startup is desirable but not required. Experience with data and insight analytics SAAS is also desirable.
  • Your English must be impeccable.
  • Must be able to begin as soon as possible

 

Process

We may run additional trials in parallel if there are multiple excellent applicants. If, after the trial the future looks exciting, we will offer a part-time contract.
