About the role

As the CRM & Email Marketing Manager, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and optimizing a data-driven email distribution strategy to support Billdr’s demand generation and lead nurturing objectives. You will create compelling messages to reach our audience with the right content at the right time, to drive interest, engagement, and action. You will support the Growth & Marketing and Customer Success teams with CRM, email automation, newsletter creation and distribution, segmentation, sales enablement, lead scoring, and content management. You will continuously monitor, test, iterate, and report on customer behavior and lifecycle stages. You will also participate in brainstorming sessions to develop new marketing initiatives and support their implementation. You will have the opportunity to learn and take on exciting new challenges as we grow the business.

You will report to our Head of Growth and Marketing and collaborate closely with marketing, product, engineering, and operations. We work in-office/from-home hybrid model – however, we are currently working from home due to recent Covid restrictions. We are accepting applications from candidates based in Montreal, Toronto, and Chicago.

 

What you will do

CRM, sales enablement, and marketing automation:

  • Continuously improve our CRM (HubSpot) setup and integrations
  • Grow subscribers, leads, MQL, and SQL lists, constantly improve conversion rates, and adapt strategies to balance the number of quality contacts within lifecycle stages
  • Develop a plan and implement automated email marketing campaigns and workflows
  • Support Customer Success team with drip campaigns for sales email follow-ups and re-engagement campaigns
  • Continuously monitor and optimize lead scoring automation workflows and email content in HubSpot and website content in Prismic CMS
  • Create, maintain, and optimize reporting dashboards to keep senior management up-to-date
  • Report on CRM and email campaigns monthly, providing insight and recommendations for improvement and future workflows
  • Draft emails for drip campaigns - working collaboratively with our Content Marketing Manager to maintain style, voice, and tone.
  • Review CRM lists monthly to keep the data clean and up-to-date
  • Implement a process and document SOPs

 

Newsletter planning, publishing, and reporting:

  • Create and continuously update the newsletter distribution plan, research topics, and coordinate art and approval process
  • Craft and distribute a monthly newsletter in HubSpot
  • QA test emails across devices
  • A/B test messaging and segmentation strategies
  • Benchmark, monitor, and report on industry trends regularly
  • Stay on top of CRM and email trends and new features; test and iterate to maximize channel effectiveness
  • Report on KPIs and learnings, providing actionable insights for internal teams regularly

 

Content production:

  • Support marketing team by integrating and updating content in CMS
  • Assist with Content and SEO efforts, as required

 

What you'll need:

  • University or College degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years of marketing experience, preferably in CRM, email marketing, and sales enablement at a high-growth tech company or startup
  • B2C CRM and email marketing experience; B2B experience, an asset
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada or the United States
  • Highly proficient with HubSpot CRM and setting up automation workflows (or another CRM/marketing automation tool)
  • Experience setting up reporting dashboards in Google Data Studio and HubSpot
  • Exceptional English writer with excellent storytelling and communication skills
  • Communicate in French and/or Spanish (verbal and written), an asset
  • Proficiency in managing content in a CMS (we use Prismic)
  • Knowledge of on-page SEO best practices
  • Command of Google Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Ability to create and edit image assets using Canva or Adobe CC
  • Keen understanding and curiosity about content and digital marketing
  • Ability to identify trends, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations
  • Growth mindset: adapt to changing needs and priorities and get the job done with excellence

  • Comfortable working with remote teams (and back in the office when the time comes)

Compensation

• Salary: $80k - $90k
