To The Moon

We’re seeking an experienced Retention and Engagement Manager to drive LTV.. Reporting to our Director of Growth, you will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining the overall company's email, SMS and customer loyalty marketing strategy.

This is the perfect opportunity for a data-driven digital marketer who loves working in a fast paced environment and loves the challenge of constantly optimizing and improving our process and results. You will spend your time in Klaviyo, working on new creative requests, connecting with our social/brand team, and reviewing recent A/B tests across our engagement platforms. You should love metrics like open rates, click-through rates, days from sign-up to conversion, cart abandonment conversion and LTV.

While the primary responsibilities of this role are within the Growth Team, you’ll get ample exposure to all aspects of a young, fast-growing brand.

This is a remote position, with a slight preference for NYC.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage Email and SMS strategy, including email signups, campaign strategy, automations, calendar planning, segmentation, list building and more
  • Develop documentation and road maps for processes, A/B tests, and promotions that succeed through email
  • Segment lists based on user behaviors to ensure the best user experience every single time
  • Build and implement key campaign initiatives to address different stages of the customer lifecycle, including but not limited to acquisition, second purchase activation, ongoing engagement, pre-lapsed, lapsed, etc
  • Maintain best practices for email and SMS list hygiene to ensure deliverability is always high
  • Own the creative brief development, collaborate with the creative team on assets and copywriting
  • Manage day-to-day email/SMS channel, including building, QA/proofing, scheduling, and reporting on campaigns and automated flows to the rest of the team
  • Analyze email/SMS channel and customer data to uncover insights and make recommendations for campaign and flow optimization
  • Have a collaborative process, starting with KPI goals, followed by segmenting, content direction, and timeline
  • Partner with cross functional teams on the development of integrated paid media campaigns and ensure email campaigns and flows reinforce digital ad campaigns
  • Play an active role in contributing ideas in brainstorm sessions. Identify creative opportunities for experimentation across our channels
  • Ability to professionally balance the feedback from cross-functional partners and incorporate appropriate components into the final product
  • Proactively self-manage and track next steps/follow-ups for project - you don’t need to be told what to do next
  • Stay up to date with and manage changing privacy policies and data access

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience with Klaviyo, leading retention and engagement
  • 2+ years experience with a loyalty program like Yotpo Rewards, Okendo, or Junip
  • Comfortable with creative direction and working with designers and copywriters on creative briefs
  • Highly analytical, always pushing A/B tests to increase KPIs
  • HTML & CSS experience - Responsive coding specific to email deliverability and rendering in multiple devices
  • Familiarity with email best practices and protocols for deliverability
  • Tapped into the ever-evolving digital space via newsletters, blogs, or Twitter
  • Shopify Plus experience
  • Detail oriented and extremely organized a must
  • Exceptional time management, verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be self motivated and possess an aggressive work ethic. No egos.
  • Desire to work in a start-up environment, where iteration and learning is encouraged. No task is too small.
  • Scrappy, willing to roll up sleeves, and has an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to influence and articulate clear, measurable objectives after developing a detailed understanding of the business goals
  • Experience working with a DTC brand a plus
